Yesterday at my plot I spent 10 minutes chasing the yellow'ist Brimstone I've ever seen, then wasted more time following a pair of Small Coppers, then a Gate Keeper, then a Common Blue, so made do with a docile Hoverfly

Several juvenile Whinchats were on the Heather this afternoon at Hartland Moor near Corfe Castle making their way to the coast for their journey to Central Africa.
The creamy white eye stripe distinguishing it from the many juvenile resident Stonechats around. I also saw two Common((?) Redstarts but too far away for a pic.

One lone Gannet passed Durlston Head this morning, hardly any other seabirds around.

One the brambles and scrub above the cliffs there were dozens of mixed Stonechats, Whitethroats, Willow Warblers and Chiffchaff plus one female Blackcap.
Juvenile Whitethroat, soon to be leaving for central Africa.

Chiffchaff, probably only migrate to the Med but not for a month or so.
