Many, many blue tits in the bushes around here today, and lots of tweeting going on, I was woken up by birdsong. the battery on the camera died whilst trying to take a picture! Oh dear...

I really understand your concerns, however, if you move the nest and eggs, it is unlikely the parents will follow and even if they do, they may not like the site you choose. So, instead of potentially 12 dead ducklings ... you'll potentially have 12 dead eggs.

Mamma duck would have chosen that particular spot for a reason and on instinct. If there are other bodies of water around, she will lead them to it if she thinks its necessary.

I was wondering what was putting large holes in my grass and I caught the culprit on camera!..... A rather large Green Woodpecker :)

Not flying or buzzing, just sunning themselves, two Wall Lizards one being a very colourful male in breeding condition. As well as a Common Lizard these were seen on a stone wall by Durlston Country Park castle this morning.
I have seen them at a Portland quarry, Abbotsbury Gardens and Bournemouth cliffs but I didn't know they had been introduced here.

I have a blackbird nesting in the conifer hedge :hapydancsmil:. when we had those awful gales a few weeks back a piece of material from somewhere got caught up in our hawthorn tree at the front, it's been driving me mad, this morning the blackbird managed to remove it from the tree & flew into the conifer with it I his beak! I hope it will make a cosy nest!

Durlston Country Park (again- sorry!!!). I took a our u3a nature group on a walk around but unfortunately for them I went earlier to check some of the walk out and saw two pods of Dolphins but they weren't seen again all morning, swimming into the sun made poor shots but I have some video. There were 8 in all.

No pics I'm afraid but a solitary swallow over the valley near lake Bala, then a good dozen swooping and chittering over the fields just outside Shrewsbury.
