I doubt whether anyone here in the UK would see an Otter in their garden/yard!

I stand corrected @hydrogardener I can see now it is different from a River Otter which is distantly related to the Weasel/Martin family.

He is a tough little critter with a John Wayne attitude, even the coyotes give him a wide berth.

Managed to capture one of the blue tits arriving and departing the nest box with its Home Delivery Service:

And then caught Mr B having a little rest ...

Meadow Pipit, although in a tree and at first appearing to be a Tree Pipit, the very long rear claw identifies it straight away.

Smooth Snake, our rarest reptile and found by accident looking for Adders, it is protected and I would need a licence to touch it.

                    Nice pictures as always SL,

I would need a gallon of beer and half bottle of whiskey to even think about touching it :blue thumb:.

I've just been standing in the garden watching some bats swooping about. :dancy::dancy: They seem quite big. Does anyone know which kind they might be?

Great, I get them later in the year, we have 18 species in the uk, by flight and behaviour I think the ones I have are brown long eared, you can buy a little recorder to listen to them that will identify them better,

I've not bought a recorder but i will if they return this year, have a look here :)

Thanks @martin-f ....I'll have a look at that link. I thought maybe they were pipistrelles but having looked online, I think they're too big.
