As a rule Damsel flies sit with their wings parallel to their bodies and Dragons, Hawkers and Chasers are like this with them at right angle to the body. Now which one this is I don't know, sorry.

The plumage and colouring on the pheasant is amazing @ARMANDII. :)

I can actually reach out and touch him, Sheal, because he's so used to me, and seeing his plumage up close is just a privilege:love30:. The pattern on his back reminds me of the artwork around Queen Elizabeth I time.:snork:, and it's so clever that it somehow makes me think it's not an accident of design:doh::snork:

Looking again, even the feathers on his neck are shades of an iridescent blue and green. I wonder why nature made him so bright, not exactly camouflage during the shooting season?

I think you've got a friend for life, have you given him a name? :)

I think that it's a strictly food related relationship, on his part, Sheal. After his first approach I started to bring seed for him and so he comes over to me, chortles and chortles for some seed, eats it, then chortles again, loses interest and wanders off!! So I've done a John Wayne he called his dog "Dawwg", so I've called the bird "Birrrd":dunno::snorky:
