@martin-f I usually do the birdwatch on line. I don't wish to sign up for a 'pack' or register with them and just want to fill in what I have seen and what area I'm in. Do they still cater for that as the link you give only allows for registering?

Yes, I had that trouble and anything I did led me to the 'download pack' button. I don't really want to download a pack but just gone onto their site and add my details of birds.

I did click on the download button and it froze my computer and I had to shut explorer down . No great problem really but just a nuisance. I think it might be because I have very slow broadband and 15MB sometimes gives a time out problem.

I'll try looking closer to the date. If I can't upload the info direct then I won't bother. :noidea:

@wiseowl There is nothing wrong with sparrows, except, there are so many different kinds you can get a headache trying to identify them. This is a white- throated sparrow, white-striped form .

                      Hey! Stop crowding me!
He was getting quite annoyed and pecking at them and grabbed one by the tail and lifted it out of the water. Didn't catch that shot!

@strongylodon well done, I didn't know whether anyone would spot the moorhens which were keeping in the background - and because of the poor photography. :heehee:
