      This sweet thing has been eating up the calicarpia berries on the shrub near the house. Hope she has found the two others in the other garden. bird.jpg

            Plenty of blackbirds after the apples out in the garden today, I counted nine at one point. Our pair of resident crows turned up too.

                Caught sight of a dunnock in and out of my Choisya.
                There are a mating pair of blackbirds garden fence hopping the past few days too.
                And still that tiny wren scurrying around hither and thither; she is adorable!

                  I think your large black bird is a Raven @wiseowl. They are very similar to a crow but a little research says that the beak of a Raven turns down slightly on the end, whereas the Crow's turns down from about two thirds along it. The Raven is approximately 24inches in length and the Crow approximately 18 inches in length.
