The Redwing is the one with the eye stripe and sorry for the quality but I dare not open the window as they would have flown off

In the last month or so I have seen many Redwings and some Fieldfares but we never get them in the garden, no trees or shrubs with berries.

A few gardens around here have Pyracantha and Berberis @Kandy but I have no more room for them.
At least a pair of Siskins have returned being absent since July.

Lovely for you to have the Siskin visiting,I don’t think we shall get them this year as I haven’t got any bird seed feeders out. They came last time we had the heavy snow a few years ago.Counted nine Blackbirds in our garden today One Jackdaw,One Redwing and One Fieldfare:smile:

Our birds are getting through 20kg of seed in five weeks (all in hanging bird feeders). Two months ago it was 20kg in eight weeks. Peanuts, in feeder, always disappear at about the same rate of 2.5 kg in six weeks. The three families of woodpeckers that we have in the trees at the bottom of our garden take it in turns, all day long.

The last time we had heavy snow we had up to nine Redpolls visit as well as the Siskins and Goldfinches, that was four years ago, I haven't seen the Redpolls since.
A pair of Pied Wagtails are in and out of the back garden all day as well as the (now) ever present Coal Tit.
I would love to add Redwing and Fieldfare to the garden list (33 so far) but I don't think it will happen.
