I think I can see Redpolls in your pic @redstar and a Chickadee, not sure of the bigger bird in the left, looks different.

the bigger bird on the left seemed to stay for a long time in many of my frames, the others fluttered around often.

Well done @strongylodon in finally seeing some of these beautiful birds:thumbsup:

We saw another 24 yesterday outside and industrial estate not far from us trying to feed on a lovely yellow Rowan bush but a flipping Mistletoe Thrush kept flying at them so they were very jittery and would stay on the bush long.Even the lorries hurtling past the tree kept frightening them off.We stood there for an hour trying to take photos but we got quiet cold in the end:sad:

I would put the photos up on here but didn't want to bore everyone with them:snorky:

More Waxwing pics would be welcome @Kandy It was great to see them even briefly.

Thank you @"M" Like Wiseowl I am trying to improve pics of birds in flight which I am getting more practised at, except really fast flying ones!

Some of today's, after seeing the Waxwings I had a cold stroll along Holes Bay (again) so mainly the same birds as before.
                      Drake Goldeneye came closer.

They are big majestic birds but also like the Ravens here, being predators, will feast on Guillemot chicks and eggs in a few months time.:frown:

At the feeders today but not in my garden.
