Woo, on our walk down to Portland Bill this (sunny) afternoon there were many butterflies, mainly Red Admirals and Large (Cabbage) Whites and this one solitatry Clouded Yellow which will probably soon migrate to the Med. They look more orange in flight but yellow closed up.

 

I live on a small (75 houses) 25 year old housing estate in Liverpool about 5 miles from the coast and 1 mile from the nearest parkland and it is starting to mature nicely now with trees and hedges dotted about the place and today I saw Great, Coal and Blue tits along with House Sparrows, Goldfinches, Dunnocks and a Robin all on or around my feeding station and all in the space of 20 minutes, not bad for an inner city house with a 30' x 18' garden I think.

 

Not a bad selection Judderman:thumb:, similar to mine (birds and garden size).
Being on a migration line I do get a few more unusual ones which is a bonus, Wheatears, Redstarts, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs etc.

 

I love the Pheasants Shiney, were they taken from inside or can you go out while they are there?

Had a second brief visit from a Chiffchaff this morning along with a couple of Goldies.
