Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. Well, the spider was still out there in its web this afternoon. Thought I'd check to see if it had caught something new, but not today.

"No, I am not there, you can't see me - or can you?"

Mr K wanted to mow the lawn this afternoon but discovered this cute little fellow on the starter cable.

      Hi Marley,

Can we have a link to 'What's buzzing ...' Mark 1 at the beginning of Mark 2? :thmb: :flag:

Brown Anole, great shots, obviously didn't want to be seen.:gnthb:
It is an Introduced species from the Bahamas which although attractive is displacing the native Green Anole, bit like the Grey and Red Squirrel here.

That's a great set of images, Kedi. The first one made me laugh because it looks like it's trying very hard to blend in with the cable.... Well done.

Thanks Peri, we liked the lizard and its hiding place, too, out in the open but well disguised.

We are in Florida at the moment, so all of my recent pics were taken here.

Sis, wow, a black Swallowtail ... wouldn't I like to see that ....

:) Lucky you, Pal ... don't think I've seen one this year ... but they aren't that common anyway.

Yes, that is a Shieldbug, Peri.

Paladin, fantastic shot of the Ladybird, the detail is :gnthb:, well caught!

Thanks Sis. k-l There is a HUGE butterfly with long tailed-wings that flits by above the speed limit most every afternoon around 2-ish, but do you think I am ever in the garden with the camera at that time? :( Then there is a very large yellow butterfly that I have seen at a distance quite a few times, too, and with the same bad luck at catching it as well.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we had no end of Ladybirds this year, due to the last winter being so mild and so the aphids, etc, breeding like mad. The Ladybirds had a non-stop feast!

While we were out on Tuesday we heard on our radio York a lady phoned in to say there are millions of ladybirds in a certain area in York. She did state she thinks they were the Harlequin but it was not confirmed.
As stated, we hardly see one all year and then they all turn up at once!
