Super photo of that Jay Woo, I've very seldom seen one up here.
Is the second photo a female blackbird?

A couple of early Flutterbys, I wasn't surprised to see a Peacock but I was to see a Comma.
They were both on the same path under a lot of Hawthorn, which in the strong wind was shedding blossom and was like walking through white confetti!

I'm getting jealous! With this cold weather and totally grey skies even the gnats are staying down. The sooner we get some sun out and warm weather to get the insects on the wing the better!!

A walk along the Fleet Lagoon to walk off our pub lunch as it was such a warm sunny day.

I hoped to see some spring migrant arrivals but apart from the famous swans, all I saw were these.

Well, it seems to have taken a long time but this recent weather seems to have brought out the insects as the bees are buzzing around in their different varieties and in greater numbers, the hover flies [always welcome] are out and about, plus white butterflies, tortoiseshell and what I think was the Meadow Brown butterfly. I've got loads of Ladybirds around as well.
The only downside being the appearance of the Lily Beetle - who's life expectancy is not good around my garden, nearly everything else is welcome to enter.

    Lovely photos :dbgrtmb:

We have more hoverflies than bees but it's good to see them all around.
