    A swallow.
These cheeky little birds sit on the gutter outside my bedroom window in the morning, nattering away. :) Unfortunately it's not easy taking a photo of them without scaring them off.

The wildlife has got it in for me today, a fly went in me ear and a blackbird fell out of a tree onto me.

Don't know who was more suprised, me or him.

Had a shock this afternoon when i went to move my car on our drive and found this little beauty clinging to my car gearstick.I had filled the car with buckets and bags of old plants etc that I had pulled up from out of the borders in our garden and had gone indoors to have a bite to eat. When i went to put the car in reverse,I nearly grabbed this little fella:DI managed to relocate it on to my beech head but he wasn't happy with that so ended up flying off across the road to the birch trees in the garden opposite.A sparrow gave chase but not sure if it managed to catch him or not...:rolleyespink:

If someone could identify it for me I would be most greatful as I can't find anything in my book or on the net...Thanks :)

Just looked it up in my trusty 'Field Guide to Insects' book. Looks like a Lime Hawk Moth to me.
(Yes, I know, it's sad that I've got nothing better to do on a Saturday evening). :o
