Strangely enough Loli while I was at Arne RSPB today, an Orange Tip flew passed and of course, Chiaroscuro, it never stopped to have it's pic taken.

These two along with the Siskins are more frequent visitors now than when we moved here six months ago.

Coal Tit, another one which never stays still!

www.featherswildbirdcare.co.uk has 13kg sacks of Sunflower hearts on offer - £19.99.
I love it at Feathers. There is a hide to view all sorts of birds from. Lovely guys who run the shop. They remind me of our GC members - a bit "off the wall" at times but very amusing and soooo knowledgable on all aspects of birdlife. Do a good monthly newsletter too.
Ah, and the Salehurst Halt pub has a fine menu too just round the corner.
    Worth a visit,
    Jenny

I'm not very well up on which bird is which and am puzzled by this visitor. He looks like a Jackdaw with the grey patch at the back of his head but I thought they had a pointed black poll on their heads . This one doesn't have that.

Sorry about the out of focus picture but didn't have time to focus properly and it was not all that bright at about 6 in the morning.

I had some lovely goldfinches visiting, but this is my most unusual visitor, [IMG]He seems to just wander around the gardens on my estate. No idea where he came from.

My husband took these photos as his camera is better than mine.

Male Pheasant, Adult Starling feeding juvenile, 2 Juvenile Siskins and the Greater Spotted Woodpecker - he leans back and makes his chest into a "bib" then scoops peanut bits onto his chest and bends over to hoover them up! Smart cookie!!

Have lots of birds in the garden but very few youngsters!

Saw two Hobbys, one Darford Warbler and my first ever sighting of a Sand Lizard today at Morden Bog, all too distant or quick for a pic.:frown: the only one I got was a Brimstone Butterfly having an afternoon rest.

The first blackbird fledglings are getting quite independent now, but still try and cadge food from their parents who are feeding another squawking brood in their nest. They seem to be bigger than their parents at the moment.

We've actually got robins in our robin box this year (put it up about 5 years ago) and will try and get some pics.
