Then that is a bonus. But will a thrush eat sunflower hearts Loli? That is what was in the pan,

, Scrungee says, on my Camera Quest thread, that it is a blackie. I replied "its very spotty". So, the jury's still out....

    I think it's a young blackbird Jenny that's changing colour to a female's plumage.

I put some photos of this grebe on the 'Birds' thread but thought I'd do so on here as well.

It was happily nesting in open water on a lake in the Lake District.

Juvenile Blackbird Jenny,:blue thumb: same as my earlier 'young ones' pic).

As he was in the sun here's another:rolleyespink: Siskin pic. we now get up to six so there's not enough room with only four holes on the feeders, then there's the the Goldfinches too!

This is cheating a bit because this bird was a constant on my bird table throughout the summer last year... not seen it this year though

Kazzie, you are so lucky. I would never have dreamt that a kingfisher would frequent a bird table? What was the attraction? Such an unforgettable colour,
                  Jenny

It was the strangest thing Jenny... the bird table is just inches from my study window in a small recess. I don't really feed the birds in the summer, but do throughout the colder months and enjoy watching them. So, this little chappie would sit there for hours and got used to seeing me through the window. I'll never know why. You can see how regular it was because of the bright white poop which is also on the table under the roof.
