Marley, it is an Agriope orb web spider although exactly which one I am not sure. They are common throughout the States down to Central America including the Carribean.:)

Thanks Strongy.. It was such a colourful spider & so big it took my breath away for a minute as I had turned round almost face to face with it.. :dh: Did give a little squeel of shock as my face was sooo close to it.. I know they wont hurt, but still made me jump..!!!!:lollol:
Kedi the Geckos are rather cute aren't they.. I have lots of shots of them as they are very entertaining every night..!!! :dh: I do have to say they are very entertaining when they start to get territorial about the food areas around the lights.. These little chaps are really nice to have about as they really do eat loads of insects.. Mozzies too.. There always some indoors & we do not seem to get a mozzie problem really so convinced they must keep them down.. What do you reckon Strongy.?? Somewhere I have got some shots of them catching insects will try & find them.. Boy are they fast..!!! :D

Their main diet is moths and small insects but I guess a few mozzies will add up to a small meal.:)

I wondered why it was rather windy today, but when I looked up to the sky, I realised why? There were Tornadoes from local RAF Station flying! :yho:

    Singapore.

Someone told me this was fairly rare when they saw me photographing it but I don't think it is.

It's a Rhinoceros Beetle Shiney, the spider could be an Agriope orb web spider similar to Marley's.
The lizard is a common Sun Skink, the Toads are Toads (:lollol:)
and the Terrapins are introduced American Red Eared Sliders (as sold in pet shops here).:(

Great shots, Shiney! Love 'em all. :gnthb:

I could have ID'd the Rhinoceros Beetle, one of the few that I can, but Strongy beat me to it.

Interesting how the spider holds two legs together so that it appears as if it only has four at first glance.

We used to have two of these terrapins when Kedi Junior was small, but they got so big, even in the aquarium, that we had to give them back to the pet shop.
