What's Buzzing or Flying near You Today..?? Mark 2..!!

Well, I can add another variety of Butterfly to the list I've seen over the last few days. I was sitting by the pond with a mug of tea trying to read a couple of magazines, [no, not those kind, Ziggy , but Amateur Gardening and Amateur Photography], when a Painted Lady landed on my chest........it's not often I get a Lady on my chest these days!!!

 

I'm putting this here because I thought you may be interested.

They have discovered a new species of spider in caves in Oregon. They actually have claws!!!!

The article says it was newly found but it was discovered two years ago.

That's interesting, Shiney, pity they don't give the size of it or put it to scale

 

If I rmember correctly from when they first discovered them, they averaged from 4cm - 7cm.

 

I wouldn't like that on my chest , Shiney, I'll stick to Butterflies

 

The scientists still haven't figured out what the claws are for!

 

I would have thought the claws were for gripping prey or climbing

 

I thought they were ear muffs because there was too much of a buzz around!
