The White Buddleia [White Cloud] is finishing it's flowers but the blue Buddleia Davidii Empire Blue is still going strong and attracting the Bees, Butterflies and Hoverflies.

I'm really pleased with the number and variety of Butterflies in the garden this year as the last few years haven't been all that great but I've had Small Tortoiseshell, Peacocks, all kinds of White's, Common Blue, Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Gate Keeper, and Comma Butterflies in fairly large numbers:hapydancsmil:

Lots of different butterflies around today - peacocks, red admirals, painted ladies, tortoiseshells, a comma and, I think, a gatekeeper.

Quite a few bees and a number of angry wasps. I was pressure a part of the patio round the back and it looks as though they are making a nest under the paving - through a small gap in the cement edge of the paving. They were getting agitated about all this powerful rain on their roof but didn't associate me with it. I did a quick job there and then scarpered.

At last we have some butterflies on our 'butterfly friendly' plants.
No Peacocks, Commas or Painted Ladies but a coule of Tortoiseshells and an Admiral.
