    Really sharp photos Strongy :dbgrtmb:

These aren't but they're taken from 50ft away (excuses, excuses!).

Who's a pretty boy or girl

This is a pretty boy  - as he comes for a drink by the patio. His tail is growing quite quickly now and I think it won't be long before he'll have his harem back with him.

The Jay appears about 4.30-5.00 every evening. Mr P wasn't quite so handsome when he was a young fledgling. He looked really scruffy :heehee:

I remember driving in a Mini estate many moons ago in Rutland with a mate of mine on a fishing expedition when we hit a Pheasant as it flew across the road at car roof height. It bounced off the roof and landed behind us so not wishing to waste the opportunity we pulled up to go and get it. As we did so the local Mr Plod pulled up behind us and got out of the car. Looking at us in a friendly fashion he said "I hope you Gentlemen weren't going to take that bird as that would be stealing." He walked over to the expired Pheasant, picked it up, got back in his car and drove off with a pleased smirk on his face. Now, I just know that Pheasant never made it back to the Local Cop Shop!!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

          Oh dear.....
          Reproduction
The male is much smaller than the female. He waits at the edge of the female's web until she has shed her skin to become mature. He then takes advantage of the fact that the female's jaws are soft to mate with her in safety. Many males, however, are eaten while mating.

We seem to have, literally, hundreds of large spiders all around the garden. I don't ever remember seeing so many. :)

The photos are nowhere near as sharp as the others on here

Just to change the subject, today is the feast of St Francis of Assisi, and a lot of churches have a blessing day for your pets, though I think there are quite a few this Sunday. God bless all God's creatures. :chicken::doggieshmooze:

Amen to that Liliana. I am hoping that St Francis will bless a certain little squidgy that I know could do with his blessing right now,
