Still got Butterflies, Bees and Hoverflies in the garden, albeit in lesser numbers!! I've had to shoo a few Hoverflies out of the Kitchen as they seem to be attracted to an open door!!:snork:

Lots of Sika Deer at Arne today, the stags were making a lot of noise, between eating, as it is the rutting season.

This is the largest group of Spoonbills I have seen here, about 18, shame they were so far away and had their backs to us.

I think the Jays are gorgeous looking birds but I am a bit miffed that they have stolen loads and loads of peanuts. I thought the bluetits were getting through them fast and then I saw them two Jays filling their beaks and just flying of to store them and then back again until my store of loose peanuts on one table top and then in another lantern type holder were all gone. I have had to revert to just the peanut holder now the Jays are too big to take from that.

Saw the first Hen Harrier on my plot this year, sitting on my loganberry structures and taking off before I could get a pic. The top of our Blenheim apple tree is another favourite perch.

This wasn't flying or buzzing . He seemed to have got his back rightside 'paw' :heehee: stuck . I oiled that table the other day and I don't know whether it became sticky.

I used a piece of cloth and very gently eased it under his body and along the underside of his leg. Then I just, very slowly, slid it forward. He eventually got free and I hope I didn't damage him. I put him, gently on the lawn and he started walking. He was fluttering his wings a bit but looked exhausted.
