What's Cooking Today??

Mackerel in a spicy ( very ) sauce with pasta and salad.

 

Thought I'd turn my hand to baking again - a yummy victoria sponge.

One problem:

- price of ingredients - £4.41 + have to buy sandwich tins and prepare/cook;
- price of a Morrisons 'The Best' Victoria sponge - £2.00.

That's that sorted then...

 

Jacket potato with cheese and onion and lots of butter and black pepper for me. Pasta with olive oil and spicy dressing for T'other Half.

.

 

Yesterday was chicken with tomato and honey.

 

This week it's breaded chicken breast with oven chips and baked beans.

 

Mmmmm I adore Baba Gouoush!!! Yum.

 

Sausage Patties, chips & beans.

 

Homemade burger in a roll with gerkins and side salad.

 

The remainder of the Spaghetti Bolognese with fresh baked garlic bread.

 

Yum...that reminds me we have some garlic bread in the freezer, leftovers from when our brood came down.

 

What are sausage patties @john558 ....like a sausage burger??

 

Vegetarian mince mixed with a bit of gravy. Potatoes, cabbage, peas, sprouts, broccoli, carrots and sweet pepper for me with gravy. Sweet pepper is supposed to be good for the eyes eaten of course.

The flavour of the mince is ok if mixed with mashed potato and a bit of chillie, getting used to it now, hubby wants to try the vegetarian sausage.
