Homemade Spaghetti Bolognese and Garlic Bread. We would have the above but only the Lasagne and Garlic Bread. I would never have potatoes with pasta and certainly not all the veggies but perhaps salad.

I now make my own 'reduced pasta ' lasagne. Son is 6ft 4in and needs filling Vicky!!
Hubs and I have normally either salad or veggies .....love to have a good helping of either every day. Must have our 5 a day!!:)Garlic bread was a bit left over from our soup yesterday. Cut down a lot on the amount of carbs that we eat , but our son needed a bit more!;)
The meal sounds larger that it was when actually plated up...should have snapped a pic.

All I cooked today was boiled potatoes, the rest was a large piece of hot smoked salmon from the fish van that turns up at the farm shop every Thursday.
            Salad with some pickle.

My usual Sunday morning baking. Regular bread rolls, spicy ones, baguettes and bran muffins. I ran the exhaust fan in the kitchen while the oven was operating and kept all the doors to the kitchen closed so as to keep the heat out of the rest of the house. The people on Corrie never blinked an eye over the high heat in the room! :heehee:

And I barbecued some hamburgers and pork chops. Still getting used to my new refrigerator. I keep opening the wrong door or drawer when looking for something.

Meat loaf filled with cheese, chilli and toms, cauliflower cheese that The Teenager swears she hates and then secretly eats during the night. Together with yesterday's one baking tray wonder of chipolatas and any veg whatsoever, all rolled in a spiced oil, should give us nice speedy leftover solutions for next week lunches. :)

Not sure if it's the shortening days or just old age, but I'm starting to want cabbage soup. Or cabbage casserole. Or cabbage rolls, stuffed with pork mince and rice. Or cabbage salad to go with the meat loaf. Anything cabbage related really :hapydancsmil:

Someone taking his cabbage for a walk. He was a bit shocked because he thought he had a cauli on a lead! :roflol:

Tonight is Rice-a-tui which is our made up Rice and Ratatouille made with Aldi's tinned Ratatouille spiced with some coriander and cumin. Quick and tasty on hot days.

That sounds really nice Vicky, we use to add Ratatouille to lots of things, but for some unknown reason haven't lately. Like the sound of your meal...my kinda summer meal  Its now on the shopping list.:dbgrtmb:

Going to use the barbecue as an oven and bake some bruschetta and add a thick layer of melted mozzarella.

Coincidentally, another meal that goes well with red wine spritzers.. ;)

Chicken breast kebabs. Eating a lot of kebabs lately in an attempt to reduce the courgette/pepper mountain  We've discovered chicken liver kebabs too.....yummy! Then there are the seafood kebabs, pork, lamb or beef kebabs...the choice is endless :roflol:

I've just been making a big chicken soup with Sarafi sitting on the patio outside the window looking up with pleading eyes as he can smell the chicken cooking. He won! :heehee: I've stripped off some meat from a chicken leg and given it to him.

I've finally found an ingredient for the soup that I have been trying to get for a number of years. It's a root veg called piatrushka and I got it in a Polish supermarket. It makes a big difference to the flavour. :blue thumb:

Haven't decided what I'm cooking for tonight.
