I expect I won't be either after this little experiment! :roflol: Mind you, that Pindi Chana Aloo wasn't bad, I never usually eat spicy stuff without meat but that was OK, made my nose run, tho! I suppose that's why the ration pack includes some tissues! :heehee:

I'm going to pan fry chicken livers with a little caramelised onion and served with stir fried yellow French beans and asparagus with a touch of garlic and tomato.

We met friends at Armação de Pêra on the coast (25 minutes from us). We spent about three hours there enjoying a fantastic Chinese meal, all chose different and shared. Brought four dishes home to freeze. Weather was perfect after our storms.

When I make chicken liver pate I dice onions very small and add a little crushed garlic and fry in butter with just a pinch of mixed herbs and a touch of black pepper. Then add the liver and cook. When it's almost cooked I add either a little sherry or brandy. When finished cooking I put it in the mixer and add some cream. Comes out well.

Thanks @shiney I do appreciate the tips. I wasn't terribly pleased at the last lot I did and probably because it was not so tasty and a little dry. My mouth is watering just thinking about it... woof :heehee:

You only need a little pouring cream and a little booze. You add the booze whilst cooking, towards the end, so the alcohol evaporates otherwise it can make it a bit sharp.

Hubs being up a ladder today meant I had to go and embark on a freezer search...the first thing to fall out was the other half of the Chicken Pie, so decision easily made! :dbgrtmb:

The Mrs has rustled up a pork Sunday lunch today, it was lovely. Very rarely do we have a Sunday lunch on a Sunday, the Mrs is contracted to work weekends and I have been working far more hours too this last 18 months, next one will be probably be on Christmas day.
