What's Cooking Today??

Making a Tadka Dal this morning using red and yellow lentils, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, green and red chillies, coriander, turmeric and cumin seeds. Not authentic I know but I will also add Mackerel ( as I love it!!) Not sure yet if we'll have rice or naan with it yet, see how I feel later!!!

 

The usual Saturday dinner, Fish & Chips delivered by Just Eat.

 

Crispy streaky bacon, baked beans cooked in the fat and chunky chips cooked in sunflower oil.

 

@pete I have the defibrillator handy...

I had chili con carne for breakfast and a hot dog for lunch with Christmas cake for dessert. Maybe I'll hold onto to the defib kit...

 

Ontario isn't exactly "Handy" for me.

Toad in the Hole, or as I call it Frog in the Bog

 

Chicken breast flaked in ratatouie with added cumin for us later.

 

Roast turkey veg and potatoes with gravy, followed by Apple tart and custard.the pudding is the only thing that's not a set menu.

Hubs is out this morning, so I'm the food provider so nothing fancy.
Sausages, parsley mashed tatties, carrots, green beans, peas, sweetcorn, broccoli and red cabbage with onion gravy.
Oh and rummaged around in the freezer and found some frozen Yorkshire puds too.

 

Protein shake for me for lunch, meatloaf and frozen mixed veg for dinner. I am avoiding carbs as much as I can.
