I had two very curious plastic thingabobbies for birthday present. It turns out that they are spirallers and now we have everything spiralled

Tatties on their way into the oven

                    Potut.jpg

Last night we also trialled brining chicken breasts, they were frozen raw and we let them thaw in brine all day. Perfectly succulent and tasty, perhaps a tad too salty but went well with beetroot and potato cubes- all in one tin in the oven.

It turned out that Padron peppers allowed to mature (forgotten ) are very, very hot indeed! :yikes:

Hmm I love a single use kitchen gadget, got a draw full of them that I barely use looks like I need another

Two things that propelled my cooking to a new level was pre salting meat and using an instant read thermometer. Using a scale takes all the guesswork out of the salting, I go 1% to 1.5% of the weight of meat as salt and let it rest for a day or so in he fridge beforehand. Makes for a lot juicier and tasty joint

Ooh, now you've given me an idea @Selleri! Spiralised tatties and into the air fryer!

Currently on the stove, albeit for tomorrow:
