It's more or less the same. This is what I do with any picture:
Save it as a jpg on your computer. I use photoshop.
Upload the picture onto a free image hoster in Internet Explorer. I use Imageshack but most people use Photobucket. Resize if necessary- this is the bit that I found hard, which is why I use Imageshack, it has a resizer for forums and image boards, also an avatar resizer.
Copy the code for the image that begins
Paste this code into your reply and there you are.
My Mac is ancient, I'm using OS 9.2 and IE 5.1

I can see both those pictures. If you want them to appear in your reply you have to put the at the end like this:

coming up without clicking on the https.
If you look at the pictures in photoshop and go to image -adjust -brightness/contrast
and increase the brightness and /or contrast you can get better pictures:
