A little alpine Pink - I grew it from a packet of seeds several years ago but this is the first time it has flowered. I am very pleased to see it ! :dbgrtmb::yay:

I assumed that Lupin seed wasn't true to the parent plant but this youngster has defied that. I'll have to wait and see what it's siblings come up with to prove the point. :)

                Hi Sheal,

" Purple Tiger " is beautiful, that would fit very well into our Rose garden ( if I could find room Lol ).

I put in 5 of the Lupin seeds in that you sent me and 4 germinated so I've got to wait now till next year to see how they turn out. Hope i get some ( or at least one ) blue ones.

@Anthony Rogers, although pretty 'Purple Tiger' is not the healthiest of shrubs and further flowers after the first flush tend to be quite small.

Fingers crossed for the Lupins. :)

I love broad beans, but only without their skins.

There was a very strange light this evening, backlighting the trees at the top of my garden making them look orange:

@Sheal I am absolutely delighted to say that last night I went out on the deck and the fragrance was everywhere from my nicotiana. Guess I've bèen going to bed too early because I'm one of those pre-dawn risers. Will go out tomorrow morning and sniff to see if this early bird can enjoy the scents without staying up late.

Thank you so much for steering me to a seed supplier in the event I needed them. And I will collect seeds and send them to you if you wish.

                          :)

I have been waiting for this poppy to open, don`t remember sowing the seed, may be last autumn, probably from the seed swap.[IMG]

I'm glad to hear they've come good and given you perfume @CanadianLori. :)

The supplier is well worth checking out early spring when all the new seasons seeds become available. Meanwhile I thank you for your offer of seed but I'm not sure they are true to the parent plant. Do you know? Does anyone here on GC know please?
