Many thanks Anthony, it was in a gnome planter I moved it out and plated in a dry part of the garden , earlier this year I moved it to a corner that is the wettest part of the garden and its spreading and flowering so it must be happy there, so like you say it likes wet feet,

I will leave it there and hope it takes over the weeds its doing a good job atm this part I want to leave wildish :).

Don't forget to check it occasionally for sections that have rooted, then you can remove those and plant them elsewhere and fill it quicker. Also, by doing this you'll encourage the main plant to bush out more as well.

I'm not sure that it has flowered yet as it looks rather like Abutilon megapotamicum to me.

            Bulbine frutescens....................

It's a small succulent that was overwintered in an unheated greenhouse. Small flowers but really fascinating............

The leaves have a sap that is applied to burns and other skin injuries/complaints.

            Bearded Iris...............

Some of my wanderings around the garden.

The giant Thalictrum is now in it's second year and seems to like its position. It has grown 10ft in under two months (that fence is 2 metres high) - and is still growing :rolleyespink:

                          P1280614.JPG

It's starting to form flowers but seems to want to grow further. This is what the flowers will look like (they're from a self-seeded baby that has appeared this year :hapydancsmil: that has only grown 3ft)

The pineapple flowers are only just starting to show colour and will grow to twice this size

It's going to be a good season for them this year.

I know that this Verbena bonariensis is early but it self-seeded in the greenhouse and has reached the apex at 7ft. It has about a dozen stems that are all in flower.
