I've got a hoya carnosa in the greenhouse, its in the darkest spot, rarely gets watered, covered in cobwebs and flowering pretty well.
Should take more care of it really.;)

The variegated Bougie @strongylodon gave me at shineys place a while back.
Not even repotted it yet, the root system is still very small but this is only one of the flowering branches.

They seem to thrive on neglect. Mine only sees water when it rains.

This Echinocereus has been outside for a few years now, it does get a sheet of glass over it in winter, but other than that it gets quite cold.

And couldn't resist this last shot, (promise), of the BoP with the sun shining through it.

Pete - fabulous BoP - I have never seen so many blooms.

LongK - your Bomarea seeds are growing into nice little plants, thank you, but I don't expect any flowers for a bit.

Sometimes still is, yes. Proper name is Bryophyllum.

                        Maybe next year.

Another of the less common Lobelia is L.laxiflora. Today the small division that I received back in the spring opened its first flower...................

A couple of days ago, I went to Gordon Riggs in Walsden, Lancashire. Its a trip I always enjoy, and having gone that far I had to make some purchases

                              2015_07240003.JPG
Ipomea quamoclit. Its an annual. I grew one last year which was lovely and got lots of seeds. But for some reason all the seedlings got sick and died. I am going to try again.

                              2015_07240004.JPG
Tacca chantrieri. This really pleased me. Its been on my wanted list ever since LongK showed us his. But its not one that you ever see for sale. I had tried 3 times to grow it from seed, but with no success. I thought not bad value at £8.99 for such a rarity.

                              2015_07240005.JPG
This one is definitely a Kalanchoe and not a Bryophyllum in my book. This is species rosei. Its interesting how most of the Kalanchoe species have similar flowers to this, but not the most common one K. blossfeldiana.

                              2015_07240006.JPG
Celosia cristata. An annual, and fairly common - but I love the colour and the shape.

                              2015_07240007.JPG
Caladium bicolor is very pretty. Mine died over the winter, so I would be glad if anyone can tell me how to keep this alive.

                              2015_07240008.JPG
My one and only Coleus from last year survived the winter well and has turned into a really handsome large plant. I hope to repeat that with these.

                              2015_07240009.JPG
Mandevilla - I think they are all hybrids. My red one died over the winter, so I couldn't resist this.

Clusia rosea. This is a picture from the internet - mine is very small and not in flower. I had never heard of this before, and as it was cheap - well why not. It has thick succulent like leaves and apparently grows into a tree.
