Sort of jealous over your Clivia.
I once bought a plant labelled Clivia in a charity shop for 30p and I waited about 3 yrs for it to flower and it turned out to be a Vallota which is absolutely beautiful.
That's why I'm only sort of jealous. Image0218.jpg

and in turn, I'm jealous of your Vallota (though mine is outside) it's slow and has spindly growth and doesn't look that good.. wish I had one like that!

Love this, what a fantastic looking specimen (the Clivia).. quite hardy too :-) (they'll take lots of abuse). Mine's just starting to get going for Spring as the temperature increase.. though it's much younger than the one pictured, and may not flower for a few years.

Oooh, scented, eh? That's a lovely flower you've got.

My metallic lilac datura (seed 99p from T&M) has had it's first flower. It was nearly out for 2 days, then 24hrs later was over, hence no photo.

It's supposed to get to 6 ft high and 3 ft wide, grows as a lax branched bush, although I think it's more of a shrub as mine is already sending shoots from underground about an inch and half from the main stem. It's a F. Splendens seedling.
