Eucomis bicolor is not the most exotic plant nowadays but it is one of the best Eucomis................


Nicotiana glauca (Tree Nicotiana) was planted out last summer and is now back in bloom............

Did that for a few years, Catalpa is pretty good as well.
I used to do the same with Ailanthus, but that can sucker if you damage the surface roots.

 

Pete - I think a big Alocasia is fantastic. I love the big leaves. Though mine has been suffering from RSM.

Strongy - I am really envious of your flowers. My Spanish Moss is looking
healthy, but I have never had any sign of a flower - I keep looking.

John - that is the most fantastic colour.

Pandorea jasminoides. These are the first flowers from a seed planted 4 years ago. The seed was from @Victoria - so many thanks. All good things come to those that wait.

 

This is how my Cuphea Ignea ( Cigar plant ) usually looks in flower.....



But, today, I've noticed that the " cigars" actually split open to reveal a head of cotton wool type stuff with seeds in it ! ! !



I've never seen this before and I'm wondering what could have pollinated it, I don't think we've got any Hummingbirds around here

 

Cupphea has always produced seed pods with small black seeds in for me.

I had always thought of Gasteria aff.bicolor as a house plant but now it just sits in the greenhouse over the winter and goes outdoors in the spring. In bloom using the same treatment for the third year in a row............


The Echeveria cante that @pete sent me a couple of years ago is now in bloom...............


The flowers are larger than any other Echeveria that I've grown and a lovely shade of red................

 

Hi Longk,

These seeds are a yellowish colour, you can see a couple in the photo. Does that mean they're no good ?
