That's one of the few Hostas that the slugs aren't keen on. :dbgrtmb:

We tend to mainly have slug resistant Hostas (June photo) :)

Just a question about the Brug.
I thought I had Grand marnier, and it is single, yours looks to be a double flower.
            ???
I'm guessing you bring the Agaves and Aeoniums under cover in the winter?

              Looking good @JWK :dbgrtmb:

I have had snails on my Hostas for the first time this year and we have Hedgehogs, so no pellets but plenty of holes in the Hostas.:frown:

Fantastic textures in your garden @JWK - I was blaming the boringness of mine on not having enough in flower, but yours shows that it's the choice of foliage and structural elements that really makes it! It doesn't even need the flowers... (though I'm envious of the brug etc)

Thanks for the nice comments folks. My plants aren't exotic compared to longk's, pete's and the rest of you. I'm more into the easier hardy tropicals such as cordylines, trachycarpus and T. Rex - big bold and brash.

@pete My Grand Marnier could well be wrongly labelled, I bought a cutting off ebay a few years ago and that's what it has turned into. Yes I bring the Agave and Aeoniums under cover over-winter. It's only over-winter that the Aeoniums actually grow, they don't seem to like the summer heat in my garden and just sit there doing nothing.

Nothing wrong with big bold and brash:blue thumb:

I too find Aeoniums only grow during the winter.
That is a very nice Brug, whatever.
