My foliage has only just emerged!
A wee correction if I may - it's actually a member of the Amaryllidaceae family.

Not sure these will be regarded exotic these days but worth a try.
        Callistemon salignus.

Kniphofia, not sure which, just bought on a whim at Morrisons a few years ago.
Seems to have avoided the snails a bit better this year.

If you live in the Cotswolds it's exotic!

Tropaeolum peregrinum looks exotic but is really easy to grow...........
[IMG]Tropaeolum peregrinum by longk48, on Flickr

Petunia exserta is exotic by dint of its rarity and growth habit (it's an upright bushy species up to about 80cm or so). The bloom is much nicer in person than the photo shows and in about a month the plant should look superb!

Another plant that was considered exotic 20 yrs ago but pretty much bog standard these day.
Cordyline australis in flower, the scent is filling the garden on these still humid days.

Just sitting in the conservatory, wondering what the scent was.
It turned out to be this.

First "queen of the night" flower this year, it's amazing how one minute they are tightly closed bud and then suddenly........................., I 've been known to miss a few.

I wouldn't call that Cordyline bog standard Pete ,it's fantastic.
I can smell that sweet smell from here.

@NigelJ your sarra's are so much more advanced than mine, mine have flowered but are yet to grow this years pitchers.
                    Are yours S, flava?
Not sure about mine as I bought a plant of S.flava maxima and S. leucophylla a long time ago, but think I only have leucophylla these days.

@pete They are a mixture of hybrids and species. In there I've got S flava, S rubra, S psittcina and S leucophylla as well as hybrids. S leucophylla is not as far on as the others.

This is what I found when I got back from Shiney's weekend trip, a tile came loose off my water feature and landed on my Sarras, I think they will recover as the new pitchers are only just emerging:

Which one is that John ? They really are weird.

Pete - your Iochroma is lovely - but well ahead of mine. I usually overwinter mine under glass, but I was so short of room I pushed it outside and told it to toughen up. Which it did. It survived the winter and now has just come back into leaf.
