    Yep, H.densiflorum has been in the ground for the last 20yrs.
    H. gardnerianum for about the same maybe more, although probably needs a bit more protection.
    H. "tara" I would guess the same, just run out of space.

      I totally agree with that :blue thumb:

      Crikey - that takes me back to when I was still a young buck strutting my stuff about town :heehee: Now that I'm happily monogomous (I know I am because she told me that I am!) plants have become my substitute and once I've cracked it they have to go if they're high maintenance/effort.

            I've been watering mine when I could remember pete otherwise I think mine would have been a no show.

            The H. tara you gave me last year is in a pot and whilst it has loads of leaves there is no sign of it flowering this year. I think mine just got too cold being in a pot when the Beast arrived.

            Same as pete, mine is in the ground with no special treatment not even a mulch over winter. It's very tough.

                        This one that you brought along has done well this year. The scent is lovely and the flowers lasted nearly a month :blue thumb:

                        It has grown nearly 6ft tall.

                        Another one of your pots has now started to produce flowers (not opened yet) but it is nowhere near as tall. :thumbsup:

                        Are they too delicate to plant out? They lasted all winter outside. :noidea:

                            I'd plant them out in a sunny spot @shiney , they are hardier than most people think, but are late to start, can take till June to get going in some years.
                            They like a bit of moisture also.
                            And they move around a bit, but easily controlled and much less hassle in the ground rather than pots.

                              Neither of my Hedychiums have flowered and it doesn't look like they will now

                              @pete I forgot about this one, I took it a few weeks ago in Weymouth, I have never seen a mature Albizia Summer Chocolate before. I wasn't close enough to see if it had flowered.
                              It looked darker than it the pic as it was backlit.
