Just another Albizia shot, I've waited a long time for a proper flowering on this, I just hope it doesn't turn too wet.
    Its actually slightly scented.

Everyone grows Morning Glories, but here is one that I think qualifies as exotic. It is known as Akahigezaki, or the Red Feathered Higa, or one of the Japanese Morning Glories. It is never the traditional cup form - the petals are shredded. I also have a blue one (Murasakihigezaki). The neon colours are very difficult to photograph.

No Sal, I read the seeds are poisonous and also the outside skin.

It seems to be mostly composed of seed and skin.:dunno:.

So not giving it the taste test.

It looks slightly different to mine Sal.
Must be similar to the seeds of the Yew tree, the seeds are poisonous but the sticky bit around the outside is edible.

Just looked up Momordica in a book of edible fruits, it states Momordica charantia, is used as a veg in tropical Asia, but although related its a different plant to what I have.

I've made a raised bed at the back of one of my borders this year to give a bit more height, the Ensete maurelii(red bananas) are over 6 foot tall now:
