Thats very kind Longk. But again the problem comes back to space. I am currently trying to cut down. In previous years two rooms of my house have been occupied, overwinter, by tender plants as well as a summerhouse and a small greenhouse and a lightbox in the dinning room. So I am trying now to reduce the number and restrict them to my new sun room. But thanks for the generous offer.

Pete and I just let them go dormant. They come back from the tuberous roots. Mine is shoved in the shed for the winter.

LongK - my problem is not just space for overwintering plants, but space for displaying them in the summer as well. Perhaps I should be growing alpines.

In the conservatory the yellow Bougainvillea, which fades to pink and then white, is having an even better second flush.
(must look for some red cuttings next month in Mallorca).

Great Oleander Strongy, I planted out a white one last summer, it came through the winter unscathed, flower buds formed and didn't open.
My fault, it was just too dry at the roots, amongst other shrubs.
They really do like a good drink, dont they.#
                    Its getting deep watering now.

There is a house not far away from me that has the most amazing couple of N. oleander bushes in the front garden, they have been there through all the cold winters, but are flowering really well this year.
Must knock on the door one day and ask for a cutting.

Val, a red one needs to go next to it!

Pete, when we moved to Weymouth 22 years ago I noticed two big Oleanders in a garden each about 8/10ft, they are still there now but never flower very profusely.
I only planted mine in March, kept them in the greenhouse over winter but they are staying out permanently now.
I still have the dwarf Oleander but it isn't doing so well so it's staying in the greenhouse.
I hope to bring something back from holiday (as long as it isn't Gastro Enteritis like last year in Morocco):rolleyespink:.
