What's Looking Exotic In July 2014

      Again LongK - most unusual - now that's what I would call exotic.

      Rhodochiton atrosanguinea from seed this year - but not as advanced as yours LongK. I grew it for the first time two years ago, which is when I realised what a good plant it was.

      Eccremocarpus scaber from seed this year. Its grown really thick and green and well this year - I think as a result of a warm start indoors. Its now out of doors.

      Arisaema speciosum seed pod. This looks as though it should be in a sci-fi horror movie, all covered in mucus and about to produce hundreds of aliens.

      Clerodendrum thomsoniae - I think this one is really cute. Its a climber from tropical West Africa, and is a member of the Verbena family. It can grow to about 12 feet.

        Hard not to agree. For the first time this year I used the paper towel method on the seeds and it will be my method of choice from now on.

        Mine went through a mid summer sulk this year. Never done that before.

        Must try that again.
