Simbad - I am really looking foreward to seeing a picture of that in flower. And also hearing you pronounce its name :snork:.

There is something so satisfying about growing a plant from seed and seeing it flower. You can always buy mature plants (if you can find them), but somehow it feels a bit like cheating. I read that it is borderline hardy - but your's was out over the winter, I presume?

Thank you so much for introducing us (well me :WINK1:) to another new plant. That's what I love about this forum.

Thankyou Peter , don't think I'd even try to pronounce that :heehee:, you are so right about growing from seed, I still get excited as I'm sure we all do every time seeds germinate even if its things I've grown many times before, but more so when its something new :)
I planted these plants out March time but they were in my unheated greenhouse for the winter, did bring them indoors for a couple of days when we had snow though, and did leave them in the hands of our daughter when we were on holiday :hate-shocked:they even survived that

That's a good plant simbad, its a shame it seemed to go out of fashion.

My Polygala myrtifolia looks as if it has recovered from my cruelty this winter gone when I left it outdoors in a sheltered spot..............

Blimey things are slow this year, I'm just wondering if some things will actually grow at all this year, The Albizias have yet to grow any real leaves, let alone flowers.

But cheating slightly the Brachychiton acerifolium is looking quite good with new growth.

Longk , the tradescantia pallida in the picture was inside the greenhouse , but I`ve tested one last year , the one I`ve left in the soil outside has comeback , if i consider that last year we had a -8c and the plant was in a plastic pot it`s impressive , still small comparing to the one I`ve overwinter , they are so easy to propagate and really fast grower.
the tradescantia in the picture was planted last September , it was just a cutting almost the same size as it now , the plant sproud in May , but didn`t grow because of the weather it seams that loves sunny positions .

It looks great LongK. I never thought of Bob Brown stocking such things. But I see that he has really gone to town on his site listing all manner of stuff that he doesn't sell.
