The first lotus leaf to break the surface is just getting there, ten days later than last year...

Sian we also have to consider climate/weather differences between north and south. I live approximately 200 miles north of Longk. :)

well, I'd got the "proper" camera out to photograph tiny bees, so I tried some plant photos too...

the Kilmarnock - sorry, you must all be fed up of this by now, but it still wows us!
              DSC_0080.JPG

some wild primroses, which are looking glorious - do you think they can wait another year before being divided?
              DSC_0083.JPG

              Chokeberry blossom - beautiful! DSC_0105.JPG

I need to have a rummage in the garage, once we have put everything back together after having to replace the central heating, and find the name of this little beauty. She positively glows with back-light...
              DSC_0106.JPG

sweet cherry blossom - don't know the variety, as the tree was already here. DSC_0108.JPG

I love the delicate colour and definition on this tulip - again, a delve in the garage required. DSC_0112.JPG

They can't divide themselves in the wild Sian, so I think they can wait. :)

I just adore quince blossom. This is the first tree I planted when I moved in five years ago. It's already given me loads of fruit.

Camellia - does anyone know which variety this is? I bought it as Eric Baker but it's clearly not. I've had a look on the Duchy of Cornwall website, where I bought it from, and it looks similar to Diana's Charm or Stacey Susan, but might be neither.

I have got to the far corner of the garage!! (Felt I ought to plant a flag, or something!)
                            @philomel
The white narcissus is Narcissus triandrus Thalia - it appears to have a Netherlands royal warrant, and I can see why.

(The red and yellow tulip, with the pointed petal tips, is Gavota)

Well, that's a wonderful collection of photos. :blue thumb:

Our garden is always a late starter, cold winds off the fields) so there's not even a hint of the tulips opening and no blossoms on the fruit trees. On the up side, the Spring flowers are starting to fill out nicely and the garden is looking colourful.

The thousands of cowslips, primroses and primulas are filling out and the Pulmonaria are becoming a carpet of pink and blue. The bees really love the Pulmonaria.

The Sophora is really starting to flower well and will look magnificent when in full bloom. There are hundreds of flower clusters coming along.

Rhubarb is doing well but is suffering a bit from drought. When I've finished watering the flower beds, the ground has cracked up from the drought, I'll soak the rhubarb

Chelsea Jacket is just budding up nicely

The Exochordas are also coming into bud (so @ARMANDII should have his showing nicely by now )
                              P1230101.JPG

The bed outside the entrance to the greenhouse is mainly whites and gold/yellow (apart from the big buddleia tree in it. The white Annabelle hydrangea (top left) has just started sprouting stems but should race ahead once it gets a good watering and the yellow flowered Jerusalem sage (top right) should be three foot tall in a month's time.

Sarafi (cat from down the road that spends most of his time asleep in our greenhouse) decided he wanted a lift around the garden
