    They have such lovely happy faces and make a nice welcome near the front door. Most of the garden is too sunny for them, but this and another windowsill by the front door get sun first thing and are then in shade during the hottest part of the day, so they prosper :dbgrtmb:

    Thanks @Sian in Belgium. Couldn't just get the name, but yes, Thalia is a beauty and a favourite. Strangely my favourite fuchsia too :)

        @longk Thanks, they're easy to grow and I think one would look good in your garden. It would be good towards the back of a border. It can grow quite tall but takes well to pruning. It's good for brightening up a dark area and the leaves are quite attractive as well.

          Should be easy from seed too. Sophora davidii certainly was.

                  "The Bride"

                  This is how it usually looks early in May and is in full flower about mid-May. They can be trained on wire or trellis, left to grow as a shrub or shaped to remain compact.
