This is a lovely little Narcissus very sweetly scented, but my slugs eat it to the ground unless I keep it in a pot.

I lost a large one too - it split in half with the freezing temps.

A few of my Tulips which have been wonderful with such gorgeous weather. The Erythonium Pagoda have done well too.

Can you ever have too many daffodil photos? No, you say? Good.
These are 'Bridal Crown' narcissus (which have been going for ages!), and 'White Marvel.' Both smell divine. The white marvel are much later, and much taller, for comparison.

My tulips have come out since I last photographed my fritillaria imperialis (which at that time, was closed):
And here's some tulips from the back garden (at the base of my little Rowan in an old dustbin):
As lovely as the tulips are, I don't think they look 'right' in my garden. Next year, I will replace them with more snakeshead fritillaries, which look much more at home. I think I'll dig all the tulip bulbs up from their current positions and put them in a pot together.

Lastly, this is the first of my hanging basket flowers (it's a petunia, which is described as 'dark blue.') It isn't blue, but it is a truly beautiful purple that I can't seem to capture on camera. I had a go, though - here's two versions in different light, neither of which do it justice:

Thank you everyone for showing pictures of the things at their best in your gardens. This is what I love most of all - that opportunity to share your treasures. It's what Gardeners Corner is so very good at and it inspires me to follow your fine examples,

I agree Jenny but do also plead guilty to having some jealous thoughts too when someone posts something absolutely stonking and my climate won't allow me to grow it:). OMG Sheal you have been busy and so neat and tidy, my potting shed looks like a herd of Rhino have been camping in it.

My greenhouse is only an 8x6 Silu so if I don't keep it tidy I'll go base over apex! :heehee:

I quite agree, Jenny. So many of the plants I'm able to photograph now, only exist because I followed these threads last year, and acted on inspiration!
I still get very jealous, though. These threads can be very expensive. :snork:

Oh @Sheal, your GH is looking so tidy. Mine is the same size but it's absolutely bursting. :frown: You'd all be horrified, I'm seriously worried about mildew, already had several plants with aphids on too! Fingers crossed we get my raised bed finished this weekend.

I'm a person that can't work in untidy conditions, it does my head in! I have shelves underneath where the plants are and everything is stored there. I also wash pots and trays as I finish using them and they get put back into containers under the shelving. When the plants are moved out to harden off the tomatoes will take over and I'll probably be getting some cuttings underway as well. :)

Charlie you need to keep your greenhouse aired during the day, it's not too cold now. If you work then open up before you leave home, most plants are better being a little on the chilly side and aired than sitting in a damp heat. Also try to give space between plants so that the air can circulate. The aphids I can't help you with sorry, not a problem I have up here in the north-west fortunately. Having said that you could try creating a tent over the plants with some old net curtains.

Thanks @Sheal, yes I open it every morning before work when I put the toms out. I haven't got a working vent ATM but should do soon hopefully. Aphids I'm spraying as I see, thankfully they haven't caused serious damage to anything.
