Snap! If there's one thing that posting photos here has taught me, it's that I see a lovely Iris, rose or paeony, the blasted camera sees the chickweed, sow thistles and hosepipes :roflol:

Tulip "Florosa" opening for the first time, and then a general view of my patio in the low sunlight this morning. Tulips "Mystery Valley", "Blue Heaven", "Blue Wow", Narcissus "Ascot", lots of Muscari of 3 different varieties but mostly "Valerie Finnis". A couple of young blueberry bushes at the back and some herbs in the front. 2024-04-17_06-42-46.jpg 2024-04-17_06-42-38.jpg

Hi Simone, my garden consists of two levellish areas connected by a very long steep slope, more like a cliff. I abandoned it for years due to having unpleasant neighbours, and it filled up with brambles, bindweed and sprawling buddleias. Since the neighbours left about 3 years ago I have been bitten by the gardening bug and have been gradually reclaiming areas of it.
A lot of it at the moment is just mud!
But I do encourage the wild flowers especially on the slope which has some big trees too. I am particularly pleased with my pulmonaria which I found growing on the pavement near by. It was really difficult to pull any root out with it, but I still managed to get 3 plants to take and they have all flowered this year. I'm hoping they will take over and cover the slope (which is the case in the garden they originally escaped from).
I have masses of honeysuckle too, the garden smells amazing when that's in flower.

Bought this in bud in a local GC last year. Guaranteed to flower for 30 days it said and It did.
And it is repeating the performance again .
