    It can't be worse than the mess my garden is in at the moment, and anyway it isn't a competition for the best looking garden.
    Myself I just show closeups of the plants so the mess can't be seen.

          We grow a lot of Verbascum chaixii and we keep the Mullein caterpillar away from them by having a few Verbascum thapsus around the area (the wild yellow variety that grows up to about 10ft each year and is their favourite). It works :thumbsup:

          When I say 'we grow' the chaixii I really mean they grow themselves as we don't need to do anything. :heehee:

                    My first (ever) clematis flower this morning. I think it's a Guernsey Cream. I suddenly got a desire for climbers this year and bought 4 different ones from the supermarkets.
