I few pics from me finally not much happening in the garden at the moment , the weather took care of anything worth taking a picture of over the past month

Couldn't quite get the picture I wanted with this but this little corydalis resembles really well with the Acer winter flame in the back ground - red stems with green / lime foliage

We have 3 Paulownia tomentosa in our garden. The original is cut right back each April to allow the new shoots to send up growths that are 10-12 feet high with the magnificent HUGE beautiful silky leaves. No flowers. Took a root cutting some years ago and planted it down near our hazel coppice. Now it is flowering but as always the flowers are high up and no chance of a photo. We also took another root cutting 3 years ago and planted it on the edge of our orchard. It seemed to have died but then new growths appeared. Amazingly it is also in flower (very young plant) but again the flowers are at the top so can't get a photo. So pleased though that they are so successful.

Are the daffodils in the first picture ‘Carice’, @Perki? I was very fond of mine, but they haven’t returned this year. I did miss them.

These Dicentra come from North America, D eximia from the East and D formosa from SW Oregon, so opposite sides of the Rockies. They normally come up at about the same time. This year the D formosa has been flowering since March, D eximia only emerged a week or so back, in fact I thought that it had died with the wet weather it was so late.

That's a lovely combo in the last photo, @pitter-patter. :blue thumb:

I've never seen Dicentra Eximia before, @NigelJ. Its looks are closer to its relative Corydalis than other Dicentras.

@ViewAhead the taxonomists had a go at Dicentra a few years back and some ended up in Lamprocapnos Dicentra spectablis is now L spectablis and the climbing yellow Dicentra scandens ended up Dactylicapnos scandens.
D eximia and D formosa do look quite different to many Dicentra, I must have had those two for nearly 3 decades now and would recommend them to anybody.
