@ViewAhead The first one is June and the second is Hosta Mediovariegata. I have some other ones but these two are more advanced. The new growth is especially attractive.

Here are some of my ferns.
Hart's Tongue pops up everywhere in the shadier parts.

I bought 3 of these last autumn from B&Q, Polystichum I think.

I've been thrilled to notice that tiny ferns are growing on the rotten wood in my stumpery. Maybe the purchased ferns sent out some spores?

Finally, I bought a couple of Royal Ferns earlier this year and they've been looking pretty unpromising until now: 2025-04-20_08-34-48.jpg

I got mine from Plantagogo @pitter-patter, they have the national collection of heucheras and also sell heucherellas and tiarellas.

@Escarpment The ferns in our garden started in one place and now are all over the place. We don't mind as we love how they look. The spores are so light that the lightest breeze moves them around. We have 2 royal ferns and at the moment no signs of growth so hopefully yours will still be OK. Beautiful fern.

My royal ferns have little coiled up green fronds just starting to appear. It's exciting!

My lilies are emerging. Sadly all the labels are washed clean so I don't know which is which.
