Lampranthus aurantiacus (Orange Ice Plant) doing well in a hot spot in The Courtyard. I did have it at the base of the Avocado but the Avocado liked more water than the Ice Plant and the latter nearly died from drowning so it was moved to the granite slab ...

 

I've always heard Sedum spectabile being called Ice Plant, names can be confusing sometimes.

Beautiful Hibiscus

 

I hate the name ice plant, it seems to cover about every succulent there is going mostly from the mesembryanthemum family.

 

Pete, is the third pic a Sesbania? What a beautiful Hibiscus ssyriacus ... what is its name please?

Yes its Sesbania punicea.
Dont know the name of the Hybiscus, I've had it years, been cut to the ground on a couple of occasions but still gets going again.
OH I cut it down because it is in front of a window and gets too big.

 

We don't like white flowers, because of a lot of white walls here. But lately we are not so critical as we have lots of green.

 

I grow Sunflower teddy bear a few years back I thought the same thing @CanadianLori

Do you not remove the side shoots on your tomatoes @Jenny namaste ? you don't have to do but they are much easier to manage and it will let light in to help ripen the tomatoes.

I trim a few photinia shrubs in summer so they is another flush of the vibrant red leaves , can't trim to late otherwise the frost will nip them.

 

Resembles Hybiscus Woodbridge,..though not the same

Side shoots? No I haven't been very good at that this year. It all got a bit much for me this year. Hoped that by ensuring they got fed, that I would get lots of tomatoes. I intend to get out there today and give them a short back and sides...

They look great Selleri, do they spread a lot? I was thinking of getting some but because it's a thistle i wandered about that.
