I was outside on the balcony for about 10 mins this morning but before I was frozen solid like an ice lolly I managed to get a few pictures

Is that Fuchsia Thalia @pete, it's lovely for December. I could never keep that one so gave up on it.

 

So much still going wish I had deadheaded my dahlias I stop mid October thinking the frost would have them by bonfire night , frost has got one dahlia but the others are fine.

I were going to ask the same thing as Michael , have you manged to keep that Fuchsia overwinter @pete ? I got some in a pot , even cutting have failed last time I tried years ago.

@Perki and @Michael Hewett yes it's Thalia, must have been growing in for 30yrs, refreshed with cuttings obviously. I have managed to hang on to it as it was given to me by an old lady who had to move and couldn't keep it. So it has a story.

In Blue Peter fashion here is one I did earlier, dry off cut back hard and forget in a dark corner.

I've noticed fuchsia mite on it for the first time this year.

 

I hope it doesn't kill it for you @pete. I'll have to try growing it again to see if I am more successful, we had nearly 200 varieties at one time but Thalia was one we always lost..

 

I'd send you a plant Michael but with the mite problem it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
I've got a spray that might well sort them out, I didn't use it this year because I only noticed them in September and spraying didn't seem worthwhile at that late stage.
In hindsight I might spray now.

 

The Brugmansia is filling out nicely and the Poinsettia can be seen starting to colour up in the background ...




The Portuguese Lavender is starting to bloom ...

 

That brug is enormous Victoria.

 

That it is Pete ... we try to keep it so we can walk under it into The Jungle Room. It is hard to breathe around it due to the scent!

 

Thank you all for liking my Pansies! I have more plants this year than I have had for many years! I just hope they all survive through to their main blooming period in April/May. I'd almost stopped growing them due to various pests & fungi but I hope they do better this year.

 

Made a video of what is still in bloom here at the start of December.
