    Thanks Lolli, the black tulips beside the cream wont be long now, also planted black and bright purple together last year, looking forward to seeing them :thumb:

    ill go out tonight and sniff the clematis Bob :cool: Is it your back garden your making over? Its looking Good :gnthb: your gonna need hundreds of plants there, go to B&Q 20% off All plants untill the 8th, 24 bedding plants £4.... £3.20 with the 20% off..

    Peters I wish my garden looked like yours in spring, maybe next year, Looks gorgeous..

    Victoria:cool: Gazinia in April, I wish, love Gazinias, I think ill buy some this year for the new front garden..

    Thanks Vicky and Daisy - I love that Gazania.

    Bob - if I may suggest, though I am sure you are already doing it, now is a wonderful time to dig in huge quantities of organic matter. It is so easy when there aren't any plants there - you will never have the same opportunity again.

    Some major de-forestation, and a few days chopping to get it all in the brown bin and I am pretty pleased with my April 'look'.:D

    Hi bob, nanas are back to root stock, phoenix palm (small), couple of tender succulents, washingtonia (v.small). Not too bad really.:)

    Funny old game here upthnorth my lasio carpa has new growth, my small phoenix is looking good and also my washy,they have been inside a p/tunnel which has dropped to -7c but of course they have had protection from the wind and the wet,to me that is the key keeping them as dry as possible at the root when the temperatures are really low.

    chenjing - thats really nice. Do you leave your Bellis in the ground overwinter? I have lifted mine as I am not sure about their hardiness. And will they survive in a border if they get covered over by tall perennials in the summer?
