Whilst I love everyone's pictures, I always think your pictures make these threads Victoria. The reason is simply that you have such exotic, wonderful and different things, that we can only dream about.

Well said, Peter :thumb: - but it makes me a bit jealous of the riot of colour :flag::D.

:) Thank you PeterS, Shiney and Penny.

Seeing your Pieris, strongy, I almost bought one today .. the one with red flowers 'Valentine' but decided I didn't have anywhere to put it ... it was fantastic, fully in bloom and I've never seen one before! My Callistemon 'Flaming Fire' is red now (changes colour several times a year) but I'm just waiting for it to get its brushes.

Robert, they are lovely pictures and I can almost smell that Hyacinth from here but I am a little concerned that you took them from your little frontage ...........:hehe:

What am I doing wrong? Nothing showing - that's a lie, for all I have neglected my garden over the past couple of years, I did put my pots with perrenials to one side and they are showing, hooray! It's lovely to see your pics but I am jealous, we have had such a long winter up in the north and forecast for snow next week!! Come on - we need some sun.

Peter, I've just been given a pieris! Planted it and it already has the little white flowers on it, was watching the bees on it on Friday, beautiful day (raining now!).

Thank you for posting all your pics, cheers me up.

A couple of days ago a friend told me that if you leave the flowers on a Pieris it prevents the new leaves coming out red. Has anyone heard this? - and is there any truth in it?
