Sadly , no they didn't Mr Shiney. They got quickly smothered by ivy which I failed to remove enough of initially I think. I would like to try another one in a different spot so please, can you put one by for me when I visit in late May?

Around my garden yesterday.

The bluebells in all their spring glory.



A happy accident. This is a row of wallflower plants which I simply never got around to planting out last autumn. They're now flowering quite happily, surrounded by forget-me-nots, making an attractive combination.



This is a very dry, sunny patch between the shed and the vegetable garden which has simply 'evolved' over the years. It now contains various plants and wildflowers which have seeded themselves there over time and thrived. Anything which seems happy there and is colourful, I leave to its own devices.
A few of the plants currently flowering, or about to flower are; honesty, calendula, garlic mustard, forget-me-nots, oregano, wild poppies, white campion, foxgloves and campanula.

This Lewisia started blooming today.................


No idea as to the species as it was a bargain bin rescue last summer for the princely sum of 50p. It has recovered well though..................

 

That's a lovely colour Longk - very pretty!

Callistermon Salignus..i think
Pallidus as a lemon scent so it must be salignus

 

More tulips flowering and my clematis Montana is looking fantastic
