Sow seed now Gary......in autumn you will have all the plants you want. Or, buy a couple of plants cheap and divide them :)

£4.49 including pot and compost. I can live with that. I might go back and pick another one up at some point.

Oh that would be lovely, thanks @silu! I'll need a couple of dozen I think but don't want to strip your wood bare. I'm happy to grow from seed which I was looking to collect, but there's nothing showing signs of sprouting flowers here yet. In fact we're currently covered in snow again!

No worries. I've got a clump which must have about 50 separate plants in it. If ever we get out of the ice age that this year is throwing at us we'll get to meet up:rolleyespink:. I'll pm you with photos of the 2 different ones I have when they start to flower...soon now. Both yellow obviously but 1 "type" are deeper yellow and not quite what I would call wild Primroses. You can choose which you'd like or some of both.

                It's alive! :dbgrtmb:

received_2017026181703427.jpeg My stick in a bucket is showing signs of life. It will be nice to get it planted out in the garden. When I do so I will have to give lots of protection from the pets.

2 plants I bought cheap last year have come through the winter in the "topless" greenhouse. The lithodora I split in half to test it's soil tolerance. It's been hit and miss since as new growth appears then dead looking bits snap off. It has now produced it first flower. That makes me happy.

Likewise with the lamium. The growth on that has been steady on consistent. It is now producing it's first flowers. Another plant I bought cheap, I was hoping to be able to split it up but I think I might be jumping the gun somewhat. :snorky:

                Happy days

                G.

Exciting time of the year, isnt it Gary? Most everything is moving now or about to :)
You can divide the lamium or try this......put a thick layer of mpc around it. Remove some of the bark to do it. It will layer more easily and quickly making a sizeable clump in early summer.:)
Good morning WO......I too love my dicentras. Apart from the usual spectabile I have alba doing the same thing but with pale fresh green foliage. Cant wait for the flowers:)

Slow release ericaceous for lithodora would be good if it is staying in the pot.
The lamium? Not if you intend to plant it out. :)

The lithodora is not in ericaceous soil. It is in soil from my garden and mpc. It will be going out into the garden when the time comes. The lamium too.

And one of our cherry blossom trees, we have two ornamental weeping ones, one white, one pink. And then we have an edible fruiting one with white blossom. This is the white weeping one which always flowers first. The bees are loving it!
